The biweekly Trollling the Underground contest for this week is still unwon, folks. As you may know, the first person to guess the artist I'll feature next gets a full copy of the bootleg recording I'll be featuring a cut from. Last week's clue was: |
| mirk October 6, 2006 04:33 PM PDT Interesting blog you have here! Thanks for the info on the pentagram I did not know it made a difference which way up it was. She must be a dyslexic satanist then. It's always good to learn something new. I'll need to stop by again. | ||
| jollykay October 6, 2006 08:45 PM PDT oops, you made it too easy. the answer is little feat. | ||
| jollykay October 6, 2006 08:47 PM PDT (sorry to spoil everyone else's googling fun) | ||
| Joe the Troll October 7, 2006 07:42 AM PDT WOW. JK, I guess I did at that! I thought that by skipping Linda Ronstadt and Bonnie Raitt and going woith what I thought were more obscure covers, I'd still have a challenge there. Did you Google it, or did you just happen to know some of those covers? Of the ones I listed, I've only listened to the Taj Mahal cover (Feats Don't Fail Me Now). Anyway, good work! You'll have to send me an address, I don't keep them. | ||
| jollykay October 7, 2006 08:02 AM PDT okay, you know that i am a music moron, i have to confess... i googled, but only once, it came up on the first try. (i know nothing about little feat, so this will be something new) | ||
| Joe the Troll October 7, 2006 09:31 AM PDT Great Googly Moogly, that's good Googling! What exactly did you search for? | ||
| jollykay (the google ninja) October 7, 2006 09:41 AM PDT google this: Garth Brooks Taj Mahal Van Halen Kubota Makoto (now you know my secret googling ways and the next contest will be all hard and stuff.) | ||
| Joe the Troll October 7, 2006 09:48 AM PDT (now you know my secret googling ways and the next contest will be all hard and stuff.) HA! I thought THIS one was hard! I thought the Max Roach one was damn near impossible. On the other hand, I though I was giving that Moody Blues one away, and didn't think that Martin Mull woulld elude everyone as he did. You just never know. | ||
| Joe the Troll October 7, 2006 09:55 AM PDT I just Googled it myself, jk, and looked at all three pages that came up. I saw nothing about Little Feat and precious little in English. You earned it, my hat's off! | ||
| O' Tim October 7, 2006 11:45 PM PDT Even my little clue drop in the original post didn't spark any guesses. Good ninja-ing, jollykay! | ||
| Miss Cellania October 8, 2006 07:27 PM PDT I was going to guess the Who making fun of the New Yardbirds giving rise to Led Zepplin, because I am too lazy to look up cover versions. | ||
| jollykay October 10, 2006 10:30 AM PDT so, when do i get to guess neil young? | ||
| Joe the Troll October 10, 2006 11:00 AM PDT When I feature him. It will happen, I promise. | ||
| nat October 10, 2006 04:20 PM PDT Put on your sailin' shoes!! | ||
| mellowyellow October 13, 2006 07:44 AM PDT Hi Joe. Its Roger Mcguinn, he is touring here at the mo and we managed to jump in early and get tickets right up front. He is promoting the Byrds Box Set. | ||
| nat October 13, 2006 01:22 PM PDT Little Feat kicked ass before Lowell died, but it still kicks a bit of butt these days! | ||
